The Lundy Splash-in 2011 held over the August Bank Holiday weekend coincided with the island's 40th anniversary as a marine nature reserve.
The 26 entrants competed in three different categories with Owen Atkinson's seal image, taken on a borrowed compact camera, winning the overall prize.

It's the 26th anniversary of the The Marine Conservation Society and to celebrate the MCS Plymouth Local Group is holding an open photographic competition this year, that everyone can get involved with.
The theme of the competition is, "Marine Conservation - the good, the bad and the ugly". Photos should illustrate some aspect of marine conservation - this could include beautiful coastal landscapes worth conserving, people working in conservation, marine or beach pollution or litter, marine related animal or plant species at risk. ...more
